Samsung The Frame

The line this app is built for. Everything is supported: upload, display, delete, daily rotation, and Art Mode control. Tested on a 2021 QN75LS03A running Art API 2.03.

Other Samsung TVs that carry Art Mode

Samsung Tizen sets whose firmware exposes the Art app, including recent models outside The Frame line. Whatever the TV accepts works, and anything it refuses is shown with the Samsung error rather than hidden.

Older Art API firmware, version 0.97

Connects, uploads, and displays. Thumbnails that this firmware sends inline are not previewed yet, and a few 0.97 sets report Art support but reject uploads outright.

Samsung TVs without Art Mode, and every non-Samsung TV

LG, Sony, TCL, Hisense, and Samsung sets with no Art app offer no equivalent local interface. TV Art Manager cannot drive them and does not pretend to.

Network conditions

The computer and the TV need to sit on the same subnet, with ports 8001 and 8002 reachable. Guest Wi-Fi, client isolation, VLAN boundaries, and blocked multicast prevent discovery and connection on any model.

Short honest answers

Is this an official Samsung app?
No. TV Art Manager is an independent product that talks to the TV over the same local interface the SmartThings app uses. Samsung does not document that interface, so the app shows you the TV's exact answer whenever a model or firmware refuses something instead of pretending it worked.
Which TVs does it work with?
Samsung The Frame is what it is built for, and every feature is tested there. Other Samsung sets that carry Art Mode work too. Older Art API 0.97 firmware connects, uploads, and displays, with a couple of gaps. LG, Sony, TCL, Hisense, and Samsung sets without Art Mode have no equivalent interface and are not supported.
Does it need the internet, or an account?
No. The app talks to the TV on your home network and nothing else. There is no account and no cloud. Once a day it fetches one small file from this site to learn whether a newer version exists, and that request carries nothing about you.
What is free and what is Pro?
The free version is the whole manual tool: collections, 4K preparation, upload, display, and managing what is on the TV, one image at a time, as often as you like. Pro adds everything that acts on many images at once or runs on its own: batch upload, sync and mirror, daily rotation with TV retention, duplicate cleanup, tray operation, and starting with Windows.
How does the license work?
You get a key by email. Paste it into the About page once and Pro is unlocked on that computer, forever. The key is checked on your machine against a public key inside the app, so there is no activation server, no seat limit, and nothing that stops working if this site ever disappears. Your email is inside the key, which is the whole anti-piracy measure.
What if a Samsung update breaks it?
It can happen, and we say so plainly: Art Mode is an undocumented interface that Samsung may change at any time. We fix what can be fixed and publish an update. If you bought Pro and it stops working for your TV, write to us and we refund, no questions asked.
Why does Windows warn me when I run it?
A downloaded program that Windows has not seen many times gets a SmartScreen notice. Select More info, then Run anyway. The download is a plain folder with one executable and no installer, and it writes only inside its own data folder.
